SSR, discussion, math problems and more. Talk about working it. Today we tried out reading groups for the first time! A little rocky, but the more the scholars read with me, the better I can form groups to complement each other. Yay for readers!
So sorry for the lateness. Such a busy day! Don't forget to keep working in your homework packets and sign up for edmodo if you haven't already. Can't wait for tomorrow!

So many names! And so much meaning behind them. Love it. A name is so important and I feel that without understanding your own name, you're missing out. And there are so many reasons here in our class: cultural, family, cars, and more. Very cool. Every name has a story. Spend some time and ask someone about theirs!
Today we got to do. More sentences about us! I think that each scholar us starting to show their individual style. And now I'm able to see where we all are as writers! Hooray! From here we get even better. Look forward to it. Tonight there's no homework but please start practicing math facts. Start with the basics. See you later!
It's so exciting at the beginning when all the announcements are coming and there is so much to learn! But we have to keep it up! So make sure to get yourself on edmodo and get your scholar's account t ready for some in line learning! And now you can contact me when you need me at my email: [email protected]! Exciting!
Don't forget that our puzzle piece is due Friday at the latest and the story of your name homework that was given today is due tomorrow! Later! Our class has SSR everyday after lunch. SSR is sustained silent reading where we read for 20 minutes after lunch to relax, get back into academic mode, and improve our reading! If your scholar has any books they like to read, have them bring it to class for SSR!
A lot. So with any good writing you have to start with the basics. Of course, our goal here in second grade is to work on becoming great writers and today we started that path. And by the, the kids did almost all of those ideas themselves. I may have put in one or 2, but what's a lesson without some teacher guidance, right? Can't wait to show more.
